You don't have too many hotel choices in Whistler. I would go for the Pan Pacific Lodge Hotel. It's approximately $100 a room if you book well in advance, but it has a wonderful mountain view, the rooms are very clean and the staff is friendly. All the other hotels I know there are much more expensive. The only affordable place to stay is a hostel near Alta Lake, but it has shared rooms and it's always crowded.
