Try on 675 Belleville St., the Royal British Columbia Museum, with exhibits starting from the Ice Age. A 10 feet wolly mammoth will greet you at the entrance, but the best part is First Peoples Gallery which talks about the life of several coastal nations before and after the Europeans' arrival, with carved masks, accessories, totems, everything. The museum is high-tech, using satellite images and live cameras.
