Yes, some of the best things in life are free, here are some suggestions for Montreal : wandering around Rue St Denis and Blv St Laurent ( day or night), fireworks on every weekend if it's summer, admission to art museums - every Wednesday evening, admiring the city panorama from Mont Royal, Tam tam concerts at Parc du Mont Royal.
