At the intersection of Rue de la Gauchetiere and Rue Clark , there is a small public chinese garden, named Place Sun Yat Sen. The place is dedicated to Sun Yat Sen, the ideological father of modern China. Opened as a park in 1988, the place was refashioned by 8 Shanghai craftsmen who used traditional methods and materials, and the result is a very beautiful public space.
