judemom's question:
I'd like to learn about the "Place d'armes" square in Montreal, why this name? Does anyone know a bit of history about this place?(give a different answer) .
Place d'armes square is getting its name from the religious founders and the native indian fighters, who engaged in a battle in that spot. The four bronze panels depict key events in Montreal's history. The square is framed by some of the finest buildings in Montreal: the oldest bank, first skyscraper and basilique Notre Dame.
