Louis Frechette was a famous 19 th century poet, journalist and member of the parliament. He lived in this maison Frechette, a residence just off of Rue St Denis. The French actress and courtesan Sarah Bernhardt stayed here during her North American tours in 1890. The house is on 306 Rue Sherbrooke Est., that is where you'll find lots of interesting things about Frechette.
