As far as I know, the most prestigious institution of this type in Montreal is Mc Gill University, founded in 1828 by James McGill, a rich Scottish fur trader. The university has more than 15 000 students and has a fine reputation. See www.mcgill.ca for more information. The street were the University lays is called Rue Sherbrooke no.845, Mc Gill metro station.
