The best beach in Montreal is called Plage des Iles and is located very close to Park Drapeau. It's an artificial sandy beach, that can accommodate thousands of sun-lovers. The entrance for an adult is 7 $ and they are open from 10 am to 7 pm. This beach would make a great choice!
