The best option for you can be Bienvenue Bed & Breakfast, located on 3950 av Laval (a tree-lined Plateau street steps away from boul St-Laurent and rue St-Denis). I have spent a week with my girlfriend here and had to pay a total of 650 C$ (breakfast included). They have a 800 number for booking: 1-800-227-5897.
