First, you could try ski, there is a ski area in Marmot Basin which is nothing like the sloped in the neighboring Lake Louise, but it's pretty decent. There's some winter hiking and snowsheoing in the Maligne Canyon when it freezes, which looks and feels pretty spectacular. Other option would be renting a snowmobile in Valemount, but I never did that and I don't know the price.
